Im new to the whole honda scene and I just bought a 2001 civic dx coupe 5 speed with 119k miles. Its been maintained by the dealership since new.

Would the motor be safe to run low amounts of boost?

To get a firm, not to bouncy ride, what lowering springs should i get? And whould they require new struts, and possibly a camber kit?

Does anyone have Tsudo exhaust on their car? (highschool student doesn't pay to well)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a 2004 civic EX and I am running 8 psi...The engine is the d17a2 and has 60,000 miles on it. I have had no problems with the car, but you have to remember to get atleast the rsx type s injectors and many other extra parts if you are going to boost the civic.

With the lowering springs you WILL need to get new struts...Without them your car will ride horrible...It is best to just do them both togeather instead of having to do the same job twice..

For exhaust I have the Greddy Evo and its great...No cat on the car tho its fully custom turbo kit. If you have any more questions let me know...

Hope I answered your questions

I just don't know if i want to slap a turbo on there with such high miles.

So basicaly, struts are a must?

Still no tsudo exhaust?

The tsudo exhaust is good. That is what i had on before put the turbo on and got large piping. If you found a good deal on it i would go for it, but if its not that much greddy might be the way to go..If so your looking at about $500 for a good catback exhaust system..

With the struts...YES they would be a must.....Just look on ebay stores and get a good company that sells a combo deal with the springs and struts togeather..You can get them cheaper if you buy both at the same time....

And not wanting to boost b/c of high miles.....let me tell you this.....My buddy has a 2001 civic dx with 160,000 miles on it and first boosted it at 120,000 miles. He live here is Buffalo but goes to Florida once a year.....With the 40,000 boosted miles on the engine, it finally had a problem....he needed new head studs and that was really about it....If you know what your doing and have about $ 1800 you can get a good kit on your car.

I have a t3/t4 turbo
OBX racing manifold
35mm 8 psi wastegate
Greddy Type RS BOV
Universal Black Intercooler Piping
FMIC front mount Intercooler
Rsx Type S 330cc injectors
