Default NGK spark plugs

Just wondering what is everyone experience with the NGK spark plugs model number
1283 BKR7E-11

Ever since i installed this in my 98 itr motor, its been running really funny. Feels a little back fire and lagging when im getting on it a little.

The spark plugs was pre-gapped at .44 when i double check it. Is this the right gap measurment...?

Whats everyone feedback on this spark plug and any reccomendation for another one? Thanks in Advance

Looks like you got the wrong part number for one.

Oh, and gap is .044, not .44.

The stock plug is the platinum (Laser Series) plug, PFR6G-11 / 5555.

# = Original Equipment Manufacturer, and/or Original Equipment Service Part.
^ = "Laser Series" Iridium center electrode, and Platinum pad ground electrode.
* = "Laser Series" Platinum center electrode, and Platinum pad ground electrode.

Well, his part number is for the 2001 ITR. I don't know why they changed part numbers for just that year. But it's a V-Power and doesn't have the platinum electrode and all like the stock plug that's called for that engine.

Just did a search and comes to find out that the plug that i am currently using(1283 BKR7E-11) is the stock oem plugs they run for 98 itr motor straight from factory?

Someone wants to correct me.

The information I posted is straight from the NGK spark plug book.

Your'e using the V-Power Plug when the stock plug is the Laser Series plug.

Well, if you're having issues with these and only these (or only since you swapped them), I'd try the plugs it calls for stock, which are the Laser Series. Look in the chart I posted in my first post to see which ones for your year.

I've been putting the entire NGK catalog on my computer for easy access. Maybe I'll end up making a thread too.
