Default Swap / It's ok to plug in power?

I'm In the process of doing a swap and all sensors are disconnected of the engine but i got my self a custom box for my teg and i want to test it out. My question is it's ok to plug in the battery without killing my ecu.

If you're worried about frying the ecu then just unplug the ecu before you connect the battery.
