Default Installing factory CD/ radio

Have 97 Accord with Standard AM/FM cassette. Will factory CD for same year fit without any problems.[ wiring, etc?]

it should there would be no reason why it should not work in my mind. By the way why don't you just get an aftermarket deck

as long as it is the radio with the "CD" option you can tell becaus your am button will also have CD on it and you will have a repeat button as well

are you talking about putting a whole new deck in radio/cd/everything,
or just the cd player?

I am talking about removing the current radio, with cassette, & getting radio with Cd from junkyard. Present radio does not have CD on button.I want to keep it looking original. Thanks

Yes as long as you get it from around the same year everything will work perfectly. I think honda changed the wireing connections for the audio system in 1998 so you should be fine as long as you get one from the same generation as yours.

I think all the stock radios with c/d were antitheft, so you will also need the five digit radio code.

take the receipt and the S/N from the radio to your honda dealer, they will take care of getting you the code
