i have a 93 del sol that i just put a jdm integra type r engine and tranny in. everyone says i need the del sol b16a shift linkage, well they are all wrong. i bought that shift linkage from hasport and one of the pieces is way too short. i also have the integra linkage that came with the engine and the same piece is not long enough either. any input?!?!?! please help!

 

You do in fact need the Del Sol VTEC linkage. The integra does not work and hasport does make a linkage for this swap so try calling them. The linkage position is the same on all B-series trannies so I don't know how the VTEC linkage didnt work for you. Again, either call hasport or get the right linkage.

 

i called hasport and told them the exact swap that i was doing and they told me i needed the del sol dohc linkage. the box even says "b series engine sap shift linkage 93-97 del sol." did they send the wrong one? is it because it has the limited slip transmission? im lost and i have to get this thing driveable! please help?!?

 

and what do u mean get the right linkage? thats what i am trying to do. can i cut and weld. im a very good welder that wouldn't be the problem im just wondering if it will shift right or have any clearance issues between the two pieces? i feel like im SOL since hasport couldn't even get the right ones.

 

there are two linkages for del sol i beileve

there is one for the b16 del sol and the d16 too. just try and get one that was made for the b series models.

I just did a swap in my 93 del sol. Put in a obd2 sir 2 motor and I just lengthened the one that came with it. 2 inches on both rods. But my swap package was for an 98 ek.( and I'm still having problems if I might add. LOL)

I would call them back and tell them they sent the wrong one.

 

they prob sent u the wrong linkage.
when i did my swap in my del sol i ordered my dohc vtec linkage from the local honda dealer.
no problems. cant' go wrong with oem honda.

lsd has nothing to do with it as the lsd unit is inside the tranny case. i believe all b-series tranny cases are exactly the same dimensions.
