Default Could it be a timing belt thing?!?

Alright guys, I have lately in the past couple weeks i have been having issues with my car where i am not sure if it will start or not. Sometimes it works just fine when i start up my car but start to choke a little bit and then other times it doesnt start at all. This has left me stranded at work, school, etc. I am not sure what it is but from what ive read it sounds like a timing belt issue. When it doesnt start all i hear is the whirl from the fuel pump when i turn the ignition and it doesnt do anything but kill the power for a sec then turns it back on but no start and the oil and battery light stays lit. Gas is fine, spark plugs have recently been changed, and its a fairly new battery. Any suggestions or advice?!?

So will it turn over and what do you mean by choke, give it gas? I had that problem once and it was a bad tps sensor, do you have any codes?
