1990 Integra needs new engine
I own a 1990 integra with close to 300,00 miles on it. What are my options for getting a new motor with manual transmission attached? I heard the B20 was an option, but doesn't the CRV motor have less horsepower? Is that a downgrade? All suggestions and info is welcome! Thanks.
Add on question for any who know....does the B20 motor (CRV) come with a cable clutch for the option of having the B20 motor and transmission installed as a unit? I heard it might only come with hydraulic, which would force me to aquire a new Integra transmission to make the connections work.
B20 usually doesn't come with a manual tranny - CRV's were mostly auto. Re-use your LS tranny.
Also, watch out for emissions. The B20 is classified a "truck/SUV" motor NOT for a passenger car. Smog check could fail you for that. Might be better off just getting a b18b from hmotors and be legal.

Seeing as how he is located in CA, You will not be able to legally run the b20.
