i had that problem with my sdn
i just ended up replacing the cap and rotor, solving the problem
now i also had this problem with the mr2, had a bad coil, so just replaced the whole dist
we put it back in about the same location, we didnt have a way to check timing, and it still is goin.
as long as u put the new dizzy in about the same spot and didnt remove any belts, ur timing should be close. it shuldnt bog down like that.
