Default When buying a ram air intake....

When buying a ram air intake do you purchase the intake that fits your chassis or do you buy an intake that fits your motor. I got 93 EG with an LS in it and I was wondering if I buy the ram air for the chassis or for the motor?

just buy one for the car. it should fit either way i think. the manifolds are in the same locations, so im pretty sure that almost any civic or interga intake will fit.

Alot of websites have an option to buy for chassis and engine combined (etc. Civic EG with LS) but I would buy for the engine if they dont have that option.

Yeah, it gets a bit confusing sometimes. It doesn't matter but you should be buying it for the engine.

aem makes hybrid intakes, they look nice and all but really an air intake is just a pipe with a filter. fabricate it yourself. take pride in your car. :-)

Not the chassis, in your case. The tube will be larger if you order one for an integra. I would also make my own.

I would almost have to say either way the only part that will matter will be the rubber that goes on the intake manifold. But the integra one might be to long.

My AEM SRi came with instructions for installation on EK EG and DC chassis, so I'm just guessing that you'd be fine with one designed for either the chassis or the motor
