Like it says, I have a 94 teggy LS.
I just got done installing my new stage 3 clutch kit I got a few days ago and when I was putting everything back together I noticed that my lower ball joint on the passenger side was messed up. Apparently my friend decided to snap the part the crown nut and cotter pin go on and didnt tell me when he did it.

The boot on the lower ball joint is rippd and i can see grease comin out. I am going to replace the ball joint, but I was wondering how I should get the lower ball joint out of the knuckle part itself.
It comes out of the LCA easily, but is there somewhere i need to pry lock or something??

Also, if one of the lower ball joints is messed up, do i need to replace the other one as well??
What you suggest guys??

 

take the whole spindle off. well there the right way and thats pressing it in with a press.(which i highly recondmend)and theres the wrong way but hey it works, just take 1/2 impact socket that just the right size of the top of the ball joint, and a long 1.2 inch impact , and have a buddy hold the spindle it while u bang it with a huge hammer. o ya just go down to a shop with the spindle and they will press it out dirt cheap .

 

you'll have to get it pressed in/out by a shop. GL

 

Yea I decided that im gonna take the car to my house and take off the portion of the parts needed to get the entire knuckle and low ball joint off.
Then im going to use the hydraulic press we have in the garage... completely forgot my dad had it lol.

Time to get this thing done and over with.
