Stiffer springs with stock ride height, can it be done? What spring rates to choose?
Car is a '90 Civic DX hatch with a B18A and KYB AGX's. No A/C, power steering or sunroof. I daily drive it and plan on auto-crossing it. Unfortunately I don't know the weight.
I should first mention that I do not want to lower the car at all. I drive my car daily and here in Winnipeg there's about 6 months of snow so permanently lowering the car will not work.
What I do have is a beat up old set of coilovers with garbage springs, has anyone here ever run coilovers at the stock ride height? Also, since I would need new springs, what kind of spring rates should I look for? I want to keep the riderelatively comfortable if possible.

I have.
I would suggest 40% stiffer in the front and 70% stiffer in the rear, if you want to autocross, yet still be safe enough to drive on snow.
