This isnt for your car, but it is a good guidline for ny car. Just change the bends to fit your application.

I had to make one when i first got my car cause it was missing the intake. I used the 2 rubber hoses from a friends junked '89 mustang 2.3L. I just took the 2 hoses off the big air silencer box and the hoses fit inside each other and tightened up nicely with the hose clamps and I was able to throw a filter on the end. It was a quick fix till I could get my hands on a CAI.

even easier and cheaper just chop the rubber part that goes around the throttle b on the old intake and leave the sensor, then hook up some pvc pipe using some 90 degree and 45 degree bends and thats it, minus the filter the hold thing will cost about 9 bucks, 5 more if you want to spray it with some high-temp engine paint, i have a short ram one on my car right now and have been too lazy to convert to CAI.

You can also rap it with some insulation if you want to keep it cooler...

Mine uses a K&N panel filter in the stock box. I took out the air box in the fender, and joined a 2"-3" ABS piping adapter onto the small rubber piece going into the intake. Now my intake is sucking 3" of cold air instead of 1/4 ". This cost 2 dollars.

thanks for the replies guys. I ordered the mandrel bent aluminized pipe from JC Whitney and went to Lowes and pick up the odds and ends so I will start working on the CAI as soon as the pipe get here. I am using some yellow high temp ceramic spraypaint. Hopefully it will turn out good.
thanks again
