i have a built b20vtec with BrianCrower stage III NA cams, i was wondering if these cams are too large for a boosted setup, i plan to run as high as 20psi on race gas with a gt35r.

here is everything i have:
b20 block with 10:0 probe forged pistons and eagle rods
ported pr3 head with briancrower stage III NA cams
edelbrock victor X intake manifold
AEM EMS for tuning.

if anybody is wondering why i want to do this it's cause this car was originally built for na but im feelnig the itch and am hoping i dont have to change any parts.

 

where are the specs

Dur at .050 is 260/254 lift is 12.60 12.60

they seem rather small in comparison to what others are running

 

is there going to be overlap problems on high boost?

did you check the BC website, they list like 3 numbers for everything, im not sure if i posted the right info, who are these others and what are they running? i know tony1 was running pro1's, i didnt know anybody else had large na cams for there boosted set up...

pro1's are:
Intake:
264°/12.6 @ 1mm / 0.000” lash
Exhaust:
264°/11.9 @ 1mm / 0.000” lash

but it seems skunk2 measures them a different way?

IMO those cams seem like they'd be GREAT for boost.......not super crazy duration and with high lift......which will allow plenty of flow, and the duration doesn't lend itself to too much overlap, which can be tuned of course with cam gears.

I think these are measurements @ 1mm degree of lift.

i.e.:

Measured @ 1mm of lift
Civic Type-R And Integra Type-R(Integra Type R 2000/01 Spec)
Int-243 dur. / 11.5mm lift
Exh-235 dur. / 10.5mm lift

Measured @ 0mm of lift
Civic Type-R And Integra Type-R(Integra Type R 2000/01 Spec)
Int-278 dur. / 11.5mm lift
Exh-280 dur. / 10.5mm lift

so stage III bc cams are not that aggersive

 

I dont think so, I heard of people using todas cams and making good power I dont know how true that is but if so Im going to go out and get a set, its funny how all motor cams make great power on a boosted setup because some tuners used to say that they were bad for your turbo setup.

 

it just takes intelligent tuning to eliminate overlap.

I do like cams with higher lift and moderate duration, where you can still get good duration without having to tune a lot of it out to prevent overlap.
