if i'm not mistaken those are the clutch lookin rims haha...with the add on covers. ugly if u ask me but who cares rights its JDM yo

 

they look like a big heat sink.

you must be looking at marks mugens that he had on his eg. it will probrably be the only time in your life where you will find a set of wheels like that. jdm pimp factor forsure. there oldskool 80's wheels.

 

I like them they are light functional and look way 80's.

ok they were pretty ingenious at the time, basing a wheel off a heat sink to dissipate heat from the wheel/brake area but i wonder if people had never seen those rims with any labels on them such as mugen..or they said kmc or something..SAME rim..just no label or maybe a "cheap brand" label..would people still jock them? if youd never seen em before or didnt know any thing about what they do and u saw:

It has nothing to do with the bandwagon, if mugen makes some good parts whats wrong with liking them? These I like these rims, but not just because mugen made them.

 

Prime 3-spoke chromies look old school, do you like those too?

no doubt. i own a set of mugens so i've earned the right to say i believe they suck

for the $$$ the options you have are far superior. not everything a manufacturer pumps out is good stuff.

now on the flipside, you wont see too many of those floating around. so one the uniqueness standpoint you get

 

I've seen a couple sets of these rims floating around Bangkok.. some people think they're the bomb.. my opinion stands with the others here who don't like them. I've seen them in person, and I personally think they're ugly.. ugly as f*ck. I'd rather buy Rota's and put them on my car rather than buying these rims.

Atleast photochop them onto your car before making a decision on whether you really wanna get them or not. The rareness is there though.. they are really hard to find (suprisingly) so they might be worth something to that crazed mugen fanatic..
