oil leak need help going to dyno thursday and race friday need to solve problem soon
My b18c5 turbo motor is leaking tords the bottom of the block by the oil pan and oil pump. We thought that the problem was the o ring in the oil pump but we put new o ring on the pump and the crankshaft seal. We used good amounts of honda bond hoping for a strong seal.
The leak didnt go away
We tried replacing the oil pan gasket and used rtv black on both sides of the gasket
It appears to be fine there but the leak is still coming.
Here is the list of places that we checked
Breather on the back of the block
Oil feed line for turbo
Oil filter
ALL CHECKED OUT DRY no signs of oil
I know someone has had this problem before so please help me out.
Trying to take it out to the race track by this friday so im trying everything possible
THANKS

wha?
you said it's turbo'd? this should probably be in the forced induction section. but, have you tried cleaning the block off anf running it a little to see if/where more oil appears to come from? i dunno. just throwing an idea out.
good luck

ACtually this man could be right. I have seen it drip all the way down from there. The problem is that if youre running the plastic timing cover you cant really see it. Try removing the timing cover (if you have one) and take a look.

i suppose i interpreted that differently. i thought that the OP was saying it was originating from the block, I.E. below the head gasket.
i reckon it couldn't hurt, a couple bucks for a cam seal and some RTV certainly couldn't hurt.
