Default skunk 2 mega power r exhaust

a friend told me that adding this exhaust to my car would actually take some torque away. i was looking into buying it and wanted to know if this was true or not and if it helps i would like to know by how much the increase would be on average??

^so do i.

the exhaust is a performance mod and will veil in increase in performance, hp, and tq.

some folks were saying that some of the bigger exhausts show loss of torque without boost applications and im not sure about the megapower R

While a HP gain can be realized. Because of the reduction in backpressure, TQ will be lessened. But it shouldn't be too signifigant unless you also have a race header. But on the upside it also can marginally help with fuel economy.

I have the 70mm on my FA5 and i did feel slight loss in power down low but a gain up top this is all according to my butt dyno so its not 100% but i do love the sound especially in vtec. also simply a cold start will set off car alarms trust me happens all the time I say go for it great exhaust.

Here we go with this backpressure crap again. One person said this and now everyone like this guy has jumped on this same thing and keeps repeating it.
