Default JDM ITR non-srs steering wheel (urgent)

Okay, I did a search and found a similiar topic but, I actually have the WHEEL in my hands so there is a difference.

I acquired a JDM ITR non-srs steering wheel and having a few problems mounting it. I removed the big 19mm bolt but it seems my steering wheel splines are too big for my Steering shaft.

It seems like its 2mm bigger than my MOMO steering wheel hub. I acquired this wheel as a JDM ITR one. The JDM wheel wont even lock onto the shaft?

I dont know what the problem could be? The previous owner was sure that it would fit? Could this be a CTR?

Im really stumped. Thanks for the help.

i'm not 100% if you got the CTR steering wheel instead... but a JDM ITR steering wheel should bolt onto any DC2 integras...

seems like you got the wrong steering wheel...

I took pictures at request.

1) The penny is the EXACT diamter of the hole of the JDM ITR non-srs wheel

2) I moved it over a little bit

3) This is the penny on the same Hub that holds my Mugen wheel. Notice the penny is significantly larger than the hole? My friend had a JDM ITR non-srs wheel and it looked JUST like this one? Im really confused and starting to wonder if there are 2 different sizes.

Just another snappy I took.

What doesn't make sense is this: I thought CTR's always had airbags, and that since they were 96+, they were always equipped. I thought mostly all Civic/Integra parts were interchangable regardless of year.

sorry, but i tend to agree. it is my understanding that the dc2 and eg6 have the same hub (i have the same wheel in my 94 hatchy) and the 96-00 civic has a different hub. i am not sure, but i would imagine the hub must be available separately. good luck.

Sorry to say but u do have CTR Momo wheel. JDM do offer as option without SRS because not mandatory.
Check out the CTR SRS Momo, same looking hub.

you probably could convert with some machining (sp?) and such, but I personally wouldnt be comfortable messing with that, for safety reasons.

Ben Tang put a CTR steering wheel in his ITR a while back. Try asking Ben he may be able to help.

I suppose you could buy a junk JDM ITR wheel and switch the hubs. I believe (I haven't tried) you can take the hub off the wheel by unscrewing it. Good Luck

Victor Perri (User name = 97 TYPE-R 312, Email = Siracer-AT-aol.com) has installed a JDM CTR airbag wheel on his US ITR.

I'll tell him about this thread, and feel free to contact him about how he managed it.
I purchased a CTR MOMO/SRS with CTR Hub. I was very lucky after MANY YEARS SEARCHING.... for a 1 out of a SMALL FEW "Ben Tang" hub adapters. This was such a headache. Best bet id to find someone selling a ITR MOMO/SRS for dirt cheap, maybe for a torn steering wheel or something so you can just use it for the ITR HUB. Sorry, I can't help you out here.

Thanks,
Victor Perri II

machining will be fine.

you can do what i did to fit the itr wheel in my civic, change the whole steering column over. I had to get a 94- teg column, and covers. Im sure you can sell your ctr wheel to some ek person, and just get the itr one for your car.

Easier said than done. An undisclosed user on this board had wanted my Mugen steering wheel/hub in trade for his "JDM ITR." Since I didnt have my stock wheel, he had to send his product first. Well, it didnt fit so Im going to have to send it back now

Well, everyone, I am the undisclosed user...haha...nah I just don't get online on the weekend. Myself and Mike have been working this out over the phone and we have stayed in contact.

Here's the deal for me. Now that I have been told by a you all on here that this is a CTR wheel and not a ITR wheel I know it's true. I was hoping that there was a mistake, but it doesn't appear to be that way.

I was told by the person that I bought this wheel from that this is a ITR wheel. I have never seen them before then(when I bought it). I tried to install it on my car, it didn't work so myself and MIke decided to trade. This kinda sucks that we couldn't work it out.

Mike, do what you want. I understand that this has been a little bit of a hastle for you.

Does anybody have an ITR hub for this wheel? I might buy it from you all if you have one lying around. Basically Waffles, if I can get an ITR hub, then all is go for the both of us.

Call me if you need to, Im going to try to make this work.

Mr Lung, thanks for the trade. Again, the hub I had was a CTR, I just traded it with Mr Lung in Hong Kong for my CTR for his ITR.

Left is the CTR, right is the ITR

Here is the wheel installed on my car. Bye bye Mugen
