Default LS trans question- easy and quick I hope!

I just wanted to know if my 2000 integra LS transmission will bolt up to either a GSr engine or type R engine? I thought of doing the ls/vtech build, but maybe now, I just wait and do the whole motor, but I want to keep my trans to save money at the moment. IS this possible??

They should bolt up with no problems.

if you can save up some money, and get a gsr/b16/type r tranny. I have an LS tranny on my ls vtec set up and it makes my car very slow. Looking to get a b16 tranny asap. Save yourself the headache of wondering y your car is so slow.

well, what I was thinking was to get just a whole gsr engine complete without trans, BUT now my friends are teeling me that the ls/vtech conversion is faster than if I just went to buy a gsr motor. I am using a turbo so I guess as long as I don't overboost it, they say I'll be ok. this is true??

It's all in the tune.. Make sure you find a good tuner. and i would pick up a wideband

I have started to think that just replacing the head and tuning it will be more cost effective to me than a whole new motor. i know it will need to be tuned, so thats no biggie. I will have to use that search feature we have on the forum to read about the ls/vtech stuff. but I heard its a good idea to leave ls stock when boosting 7-9lbs

What do you mean by leaving the ls stock when boosting 7-9lbs? stock as in stock tune? thats def not a good idea.
