which do you guys prefer? im thinking about trading my gsr LSD tranny for a b16 LSD tranny

 

GSR tranny for highway use, B16 for drag

 

all motor = b16
force induction = gsr

 

The b16 tranny is going to accelerate faster, period. If you're not worried about traction issues, go b16.

I have a GSR tranny mated to my b18b, and it's a big improvement from the old LS tranny. If I could, I'd grab a b16 tranny (or an ITR) and slip a GSR 5th into it. I don't know what kind of work that entails though.

 

mix em both like mine ! usdm gsr case w/jdm b16 lsd, 4.4 fd,1st, 2nd and 3rd with usdm gsr 4th and 5th gears, i love this combo its got the best of both worlds good on drag and great for my everyday freeway driving

 

It depends on if this is for boost/na,etc..

What engine setup are you running?

 

everything is stock for now. i was thinking about getting a b16 tranny for shorter gears

 

I prefer the b16 tranny. When my gsr was n/a the b16 tranny made an alright improvement but i loved it after i turbo'd my car. I liked being able to accelerate out of corners in 3rd instead of 2nd.
