MSD RPM activated switch....
ok guys.
i have a MSD RPM activated switch and a realy to activate vtec on my mini me
i wired the switch and the realy , but it doesnt work...
if i ground the relay it works.... but it wont work by rpm's.. the funny part its that when i conect the white cable of the MSD switch to the blue one of the dist... wich its the same one i am using for the tach, it makes my tach stop working.... i cutted the both little wires of the swtich like the instructions said.... but why does my tach stops working when the white cable of the MSD its conected to it ?
does anyone has the conections of these things, so i can make sure i got it right....i am using the MSD rpm switch and a car relay....any help of were to get the wiring instructions will be good.. the instructions of the switch are not good enough. i need help bc i am off next 2 days and i wanna make vtec work..... and help line its not back on until mon 8 am....
thanxs

OK, easy fix.
Dont use the tach wire.
Instead, run a wire inside the distributor and take the signal from the [-] side of the coil. Its easy to see which, the coil is clearly marked [-] and [+].
Problem solved

i tried that also when i had the mini me, but i think theres just not enough voltage/amp output from that wire/citcuit so only one will work
i chose the rpm switch over the tach of course
vtec rocks!! i miss it....
