What kind of aftermarket lug nuts can I use with HX wheels?
I am painting a set of HX wheels to use on my 94 hatch and I was just curious if aftermarket lug nuts will fit. I see a lot of descriptions (T1R, Muteki, etc..) that say will not fit on stock wheels... so what will fit?
Most aftermarket tuner lugs has a conicle head, which is mainly used for aftermarket rims. The HX will not fit securely if you use the conicle tuner lugs on oem wheels.
I've heard you can have the tuner lugs machined to have a ball head.. but then again it's easier looking for tuner lugs with a ball head... so far I haven't found any...

Yup. Don't use lug nuts with the conical/tapered seating area on HX wheels.
If you're just looking for cheap lug nuts, you may be able to get them at your local auto parts store. I know you can walk into Autozone and buy regular chrome lug nuts with the ball-shaped seat you need.
If you want black lug nuts, you can get them from your local Acura dealer. See the FAQ topic stickied at the top of this forum for the part number.
