Default p07 vs p28 on y8 ?

My EG has a y8, running a p07. I was wondering would a p28 be a better choice, and also will it plug right in ? THere is one red wire on my current ecu (p07) that is disconnected. Could someeeonne shed some light for me

P07 is gonna run it like crap, P28 is pretty close to what should be there, although ideally it should be chipped and tuned. There are people looking for P07 ECUs btw, i'd try to sell in the marketplace. That one wire might be for the 5 wire VX sensor.
