Yesterday I saw one ITR on the Hutch (parkway in the Bronx) driven by an older guy. He didn't say "hi", just looked at me weird.

Saw another ITR today on Rte 119 around 12pm in Elmsford, driven by a young guy.

Finally, while driving on Saw Mill River Road, just happened to look into a body shop yard and saw a PY ITR with the back CRUNCHED. Hopefully it is getting fixed.

Also, I got my first speeding ticket EVER. I have been licensed for 5070 days without getting a speeding ticket. Guess how fast ? 56mph !!! I wasn't paying attention and entered a construction zone on the highway and got a 20mph over speed limit ticket !!!! Can you believe it !! I am obviously going to fight it. Just very annoying.

i was driving a friend to a BMW Dealer. He picked up a used 90 something BMW that goes 0-60 in under 5 seconds.

Fight it. Approach the prosecutor before the court is called to order. Tell him that it's your first ticket in however many years 5070 days is. Ask him if there is any way you can keep it off your record by going to traffic school or something.

Or, you can hire a lawyer to do the same thing.

 

where did you get your ticket? I hope NOT in Queens or Kings county....cuz those 2 county are famous for no "plea bargin" except the officer not show up and you get the case drop.

Dave, call me if your court date is sooner than I'll see you on the 21st.

If it is later, just remember to plead NOT GUILTY on the ticket stub, photo copy said ticket, save the copy for your records and send the ticket with your response to the court registered mail with a return reciept. Then just wait for a court date.

We'll talk about what to do but, in general, I havn't had a speeding ticket "stick" since I turned 21. So thats awhile and a bunch of run-ins.

As long as you were courteous, "which I already know the answer to these," and respectful you will have No problem.

Was is it a Trooper or??? Don't listen to Anyone that says that Troopers don't show to court in NY as a general rule. That is Not true anymore. I will be happy to help you and brief you when we meet next.

dave, call me. i'll try to overlook the fact that you were in elmsford and didn't call me....but, i know most of the cops in the area. was it a statey or elmsford cop?

 

Yeh, I am pleeing not guilty.

The PO was a NYC Highway Cop. He was actually "nice", somewhat. He got me a construction zone, but didn't write it up as that and he could of given me 6pts but he lowered the speeding so I will get 4pts if I am guilty.

I will definitely seek advice from members hear and I have PO friends.

I probably would of got off if I wasn't in the ITR and if I didn't have my racing seat belts if full view in the back seat.
