Default Brake Booster issues on my 90 CRX Si

The seal on my brake master cylinder is bad causing the fluid to leak from the bottom of the booster. So I thought I'd just replace both units.

Ok so I read the DIY on which master cylinder and boosters would work. I know the DA 15/16" MC will work and I won't have problems with the fittings. I know the DA ABS 1" MC will work but have different fittings. I know also the DC 1" MC will work also with no problems with the fittings, but I have to bend a line to make it fit.

I just obtained the DC 1" MC and booster from a friends wrecked GSR for free.

My question is has anyone used the DC 1" MC and booster? If so any pics?
Also if I do install I assume the line I have to bend is the rear one. How do I go about bending it without breaking it?

Any suggestions or links would really help!

Thanks!

Just bend it slowly and gently, if you dont' have a small tubing bender. Be carefull to watch that it doesn't start to collapse, or "crimp", if it does, stop immidately, it's a pain to change the firewall brake lines, i had to do it last week.

Was looking into doing the 1" MC and booster as well.....i know its the rear line but i am not sure how off it is. Someone told me it was very easy when he did his. A tube bender is cheap and is your best bet against kinks!

I have not found any links yet with a DIY.

i will post when i find more info.....

What you can do as well so you dont have to bend up the factory line, is to get a short piece of premade line (I think they sell 8" long as the smallest). get it with the right metric fittings on both ends and get a metric flare union to screw the new line to the old one, then just bend the new line under or over the master to the other side where it needs to go. this way if you kink the line all you have to do is try again with a $3 piece of hardline instead of fooking up you factory line. Its very easy to bend the line, just use something round to bend it over. if you try to bend it freehand it will bend only in one spot and kink, bend it over a pipe or the handle to a hammer or something
