for all you guys that have manual steering .. what would u say the advantage of having manual steering is? does it feel much better while driving or what?

imo, if you daily your car... keep the p/s
if you lap your car, keep the p/s
if you drag your car, loose the p/s...
k?
if you want to upgrade it, upgrade it to an itr rack...

yea .. i'm just lookin to change up soemthing with my car .. anymore when i drive it i don't enjoy it that much .. maybe its because it handles so well but its too slow?
i dont know that its just that ive had a crx and eg hatch but neither have never been at all hard to turn. Only time i can ever say it could be easier is when im sitting still and im using 1 hand. So i say you can do without

I had power steering in my first hatch, and then took out the pump, and it was a pain, but got used to it, and then the next two didn't have it, but was already used to it...when i drive a car WITH p/s, I usually end up almost flipping the car because I turn wayyy too sharp haha. anyway
imo it's not bad, except (sometimes) trying to make a u-turn or park while talking on the phone or trying to do anything else. I guess it kind of helps making sure you're focusing lmao

i love my non powersteering. let me remind you, im not the strongest person and i have no problems at all.. i feel as though it is a bit more responsive and i feel more intouch with my car and the road as opposed to when im driving the better

yea definatly .. what would u say are a few quick things besides harder turning that i might notice from manual steering instaed of power steering
honestly its really not hard at all to turn my car. Do you think all the people who bought the cx hatch are mussel heads? That model didnt have power steering from the factory.
I hate driving a civic/integra with power steering. When driving on the backroads, you have sooo much more control. If you hit a bump mid-turn the wheel wont go crazy just because your hand is on it.
Im pretty sure my turning radius is much better. The overall feel while driving makes you feel more in control
I think i payed $50 to get my rack from a junkyard we deal with at work. Installation is pretty easy as well, just make sure to get an alignment afterwards

advantages of manual steering vs power steering?
Less moving parts = slightly more reliable.
My EH2 has no PS, and when I jump in my EJ6 w/ PS it feels weird...
I say no PS FTW.
BTW I think Padawan still has PS removal kits FS.

for sure lose the power steering, you will have more room under the hood, one less fluid system to make a mess, one less belt on the motor to break, and one less system all together to maintain. You can rock out the ps rack all you want without a pump and it works fine, but if you really want it to be nice, buy a manual steering rack, it is smaller which means even less clutter, and has a wider ratio so the wheel won't be quite as much of a bitch to turn when the car is at a stop.
