There is a faint smell of gasoline inside the car when I drive it. What's the problem? The car is a 1993 civic lx. thanks in advance.

Was the fuel pump ever serviced? Careless people sometimes install them and the wires get caught in the gasket, causing a leak.

Exhaust gas entering the cab due to a leak. Most likely point of entry would be the shift console, either the shift linkage hole, or parking brake hole.

If you smell it underhood, your hood molding could be leaking, allowing the blower motor to suck in polluted air when in outside blend mode. Most likely source of a faint odor would be the EVAP can.

Thanks for the reply and help. I just bought the car and there is a leak/hole in the exhaust because it's loud but there is not a "tuner" type exhaust installed either. So I guess what you said about the exhaust gas coming into the car is the case. I'll have the exhaust fixed and hopefully that should fix the problem. Thanks agian.

Incase fixing your exhaust doesn't get rid of the problem, it is worth knowing that the fuel lines and evap line all run through the inside of the car, just inside the passenger door the floor, under the carpet. If you just bought the car and don't know the history of it, its possible that someone may have worked on the fuel tank or fuel lines, and messed something up there. Check for a wet spot or smell the carpet along the passenger side. You can pull back the carpet and look for a leak there if the carpet smells strongly, or is wet.

I actually need to go look at someone's car tonight that has a wet gas spot on their carpet. Apparently someone replaced part of a fuel line and put a clamp on the line, so it probably came loose. Maybe something similar happened to your car.
