Default if it aint one thing, its a mf nother

got just about everything ready in my new teal 91 si that i just bought from a someone that had a b18c5 in it. i put a b16a with ys1/lsd in it, just found out that the ys1 trans takes a dif. starter than the s1 trannys so i had to order a starter. i am sure you all have had these headaches nothing new for me really.

Try buying a 96 B18B1 longblock, then a 92 YS1 tranny, reverting back to non-OBD electronics, finding all the bolt-on parts and misc. crap - this all went into a 91 CRX DX that was an automatic with DPFI - Hehehehe talk about tracking down parts, that was a beeeeooooch!!!!!!

sounds like a real pain, most of the swaps i have done are cut and dry just a few snags like this starter thing. i will be helping a friend do a auto to manual swap to his little brothers 89 4door, i am not looking forward to it. any tips?

Get a Helms for the wiring so you can properly wire up the reverse lights, and bypass the starter interlock, instead of shorting out things. Take out the dash and drop the steering column to the floor to get the pedal board in - it's still hard The rest of it is straight forward. The shift linkage is easy to drill because even the autos have indentations (at least mine did) where the holes should be.

the shift linkage part is straight foward there are little indentations, sometimes hard to see but theyre there, however the pedals are a different story! took me about 4.5 hours.... i think that was the hardest part of the whole ordeal
and having to order new parts everyday (the parts guys know me by name now) make sure you have all the right mounts https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=227164
