what does it mean when ur car shakes as it's engaging into first gear? i recently changed the clutch slave and master cyl and bled out the lines completely. could it be a bad pressure plate or throw out bearing?

it all started when i misshifted and as a result got locked out of all of my gears. i checked the clutch fluid and it was low, refilled, and after a little it went back to normal. i then changed the cylinders (because the leaks were from there) and now im feeling a vibration as i go into first gear.

 

So the car shakes while you have the clutch pedal pushed in and you are shifting into 1st gear or it shakes when you are in 1st gear and you are letting the clutch out?

If you misshifted, I would guess you likely messed up the clutch disk.

prolly just clutch chatter... what clutch did you put in, how many miles are on it, how did you break it in?

 

never been replaced or ever had problems since i got the car. its an act thats all i know and its pretty heavy

 

try giving it a little more gas as you release the clutch

 

I have the same issue with my ACT 6 puck unsprung clutch (over kill for my setup). I recently put mine in so I am hopping its something that I need to get use to. If I give it more throttle then I would previously and feather the clutch a little more, its seems to transition better with less "bounce"

i do, and i does help, but it just doesnt feel right. i dont think it should be doing it. especially since it wasnt doing this before.

 

i basically wanna if the shaking is a classic symptom of any specific part thats the problem (warped flywheel, throw out bearing, clutch, pressure plate, etc)

 

yeah i have a six puck and it chatters too, its normal for six pucks, unless you didn't resurface the flywheel when you changed the clutch that can do it too.
