I would say no.

OEM ITR headers have a stamp on the lower heatshield bracket, this one doesn't. Or it's been painted over, but why would you paint it over?

factory one is a shitty grade of stainless steel, that looks like painted/rusted mild steel. I say ebay special.

I've seen oem jdm headers get as bad as these before...

My vote is they're OEM.

Looks like a replica to me, a decent replica but not oem. If i had a closeup of the flange that bolts to the head i could tell, if its oem there will be tack welds on each runner where they join the flange. All oem jdm itr i've ever seen had these spot welds.

sorta looks like mine but shittier welds. I'll check mine at lunch for a stamp and snap a pic of the welds. Mine is about the same rust color as yours but the brakets on the runners look different to me.

Yeah now that i look att he bottom bracket on the front and the two lower brackets its def not oem. I'll snap a pic to show you what i mean.

yeah, join the crowd. IMO, i don't think it's real, but it would work anyhow... as far as i know, you also need to look at the welds through the collector... rene m would know...

ok these are **** pics but you can tell the difference here.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by crx(gator) &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

</TD></TR></TABLE>

you can tell how the tubes sorta step down a little at the flange and the one clean spot weld on the side of the flange

then here you can see how the heatshield brackets are all different espically the bottom one.

sorry for the shitty pics its really bright outside but you get the idea. also this is a known authentic 98 spec jdm itr header it came on my engine from japan and the bolts had never been removed.

It looks factory. Maybe the person who sold it to you bought it without the lower heat shield bracket and welded on the lower bracket to have the OEM look with the heat shield. I've had a few of the aforementioned header and this looks the same. Seems as though the seller cut off the 2.5 flange at the collector to not have to modify a cat.

Hope that helps

the oem jdm itr headers dont come without heatshield brackets. Why would the seller have to weld them on if it was oem, its a fake and a shity one at that. There are some good replicas out there you really have to be careful when buying a 98 spec jdm header.

If you dont mind me asking did you pay oen price ofr it? If you did would contect the seller and see if he would refund the difference between the replica and oem if thats the case.

Reminds em of the old saying: Trick me once shame on you, trick me twice and shame on me...or some thing liek that.
