All u 350-450hp 11-10seconds guys, "what clutch kit ur using?"
okay my next big plan is to build a low 11sec to high 10sec b-series turbo car, which im sure many of u have done before. Now im trying to get some info on what components are use in a setup with that amount of power such as clutch system? im going to be using 24-25 inch slicks, so i dont want the clutch system to be slipping. if u need more info on what the set-up consist of please let me know.

~400whp 255tq, Comp clutch(6 puck) sprung. Nice for the power level but kind of a bitch on the street. Good clutch for the $

I am using the ACT XTR6 w/ Xtreme Pressure Plate, seems to hold power now, I will see when I race with a tire.
My friend uses the same clutch that was re-padded and he has probably made 30 or so passes on 24" slicks and his clutch still holds running 550-600whp. I love this clutch because it grabs and the clutch pedal is still light, very easy to drive on the street.

@ 400 ish whp
ACT Extreme duty PP with 4 puck unsprung. Ran forever. Just if you DD it, it tends to break the pucks up a little bit.
@ 550 whp. she held fine for an entire season.

at that tq level your going to be on a different level then a lot of people, considering that you will be making around 700whp or so, a single or twin is really going to be the best option(yes i know tq is the factor). i cant even imagine driving a FWD car on the street that had 450wtq.
Honestly i drive my buddys mustang that has 100whp less than my car and his clutch is a complete bitch compard to mine. The first time i atually let him drive my car he couldnt believe that i bitched about my clutch at all.
I have felt single and twins before and they are not that bad...

Had a CC 1620 with standard PP and it was slipping with BFG drag radials and 400wtq. Switched to Xtreme PP and 6 puck ACT. No slipping so far, but haven't ran the 25' slicks yet.
ACT XT-R6 unsprung at about 450whp, low's 11's and trapping 129 to 130mph on 24.5" slicks. The clutch disc wears FAST and it's hard on the flywheel and pressure plate as well.

I can also confirm the XTR6 wears out fast, my friend before he had his current one repadded went through like 3 or 4 discs prior to that. I probably should of looked at mine, I just had the tranny out but I got no money to deal with a clutch right now.
His is holding 420-430wtq and mine is holding 385wtq so far.

comp stage 5 sprung, 416whp and ~300 ft-lbs torque. Still, very streetable clutch with no chatter after it gets broke in and u learn how it likes to be disengaged. Never felt it even try to slip
