****HELP******JDM B16A SWAP
So heres the deal. I swapped a JDM B16A into my 96 Civic Hatch. I used the harness off the SI. For some reason my RPMs and MPHs aren't working. All other functions of the cluster work. COuld this be my VSS. I've check all the fuses under the dash and under the hood also. Some people are saying that they've had the same problem and all they did was swap the cluster from another car and it was fine. Any suggestions to what the problem might be. Thanks in advance

OBD2a v. OBD2b. I don't think that should make a difference. Recheck all wiring, especially by the dash! Was the car automatic before?
They shouldn't work together. A "B" harness only has 2 ecu plugs on the engine harness and the other is on the body harness i believe, while an "A" harness has all 3 ecu plugs on the engine harness

So true, its probably really difficult to mix it up. all you have to do is plug and play.

Yeah the harness does have two plugs only. Car still runs but choppy and some amenities dont work. Gonna be getting jumper harness from A to B and buddy of mine is gonna wire whats missing in. IF that doesn't work then i'll just put my old harness and perform minor wiring and mods to it.
you bought the wrong harness son... you have a obd2b harness which is 99-00 si.. all 99-00 si or 98-01 gsr uses a obd2b harness.. what kind of ecu do you have???
