Softest aftermarket spring kit
Hi guys! New to the forum. my wife and I are looking at new Civic LX sedans and want to do a +2 wheel upgrade and a aftermarket spring kit.
My question is what's the concensus on the aftermarket lworing spring kit that has the best ride quality?
I would assume if a company made a street lowering spring kit with street specific spring rates, that I could retain the factory shocks. Has anyone doe this with success?
I have already searched for this with no luck. thanks in advance!

whats a +2 wheel upgrade??
most people on here have their springs paired up with the stock struts, unless they have coilovers. I personally like my TEIN's s-tech (there are quite a few threads regarding springs)
Ive also heard progress makes a nice set.
Eibach, Skunk2, are some of the others.

+2 means you're going up 2" in wheel diameter. (from a 15" to a 17" wheel)
I found these on The Tirerack for $360 a set. 17x7. I think they would fit my wife's tastes pretty well without looking to "teenagerish"
How is the ride of your Stechs vs stock?
I did some research on the Htechs. They seems to be a great street spring choice as well:

...The car is for my wife and it will never be driven above 7/10ths. I'm just looking to slightly decrease the wheel gap without running into bottoming out or a harsh ride. I hate to throw away brand new dampers for aftermarket ones that will probably increase the ride harshness.

you my want to look into stock last gen TL wheels, or rsx-s wheels similar 5 spoke while retaining Honda/Acura styling "non-teenagerish."
Keep your stock springs if you do upgrade.
Another option for you is the HFP suspension package. Will give you "OEM quality" ride with improved handling and better appearance.

If you lower the car, it's more than likely going to be stiffer. Not only that, but no lowering shocks are really made to retain the OEM shocks. You'll just wear them out quicker over time.

Thats an excellent idea! The TL has the correct offset and hub diameter? Also, can you get honda center caps for the wheels? Is this a TL specific thing, or can we get some TSX wheels also?
