well cruisin the great ol craigslist and found a good deal on a greddy exhaust (looks like just the muffler) and was wondering will this fit my crx *1991 HF* im not too firmiliar if the greddy can be unbolted before the rear shocks, but last time i checked my hf stock muffler can, so would i be able to fit this? oh heres a pic of it just wondering if this is a sp2 and if it didnt fit is there a way i can cut up and weld stuff to the new exhaust?

The flange for the muffler on an SP2 is located in a different spot from the stock flange, so you'd have to modify your existing exhaust for it to work.

If you really want it, though, you could get a junkyard mid-pipe for your car, then have a muffler shop use the flanges from it to make a new midpipe for it.

 

hmm would you say the greddy exhaust is too long compared to the stock exhaust? just hoping it follows the same bends, cause i can cut and weld the stock flanges on the new greddy... hmmmm a midpipe? when i looked at my exhaust the mid pipe goes from the exhaust all the way to the header that a long ways haha

 

Yes, the greddy flange is about 5 or 6 inches farther forward than the stock flange, so you could cut the greddy pipe and have a flange added or moved to match up with the stock midpipe flange.

 

looks like your going through what I'm going through ....but for me I was like **** too good of a deal (got mines @$130!? on craiglist ) so I just went ahead and bought if...my REX(s) are both HF so I came on asking HT they said I had to have the Si headers for it to fit otherwise custom weld or something...but now one of the rex is getting a swap..but still haven't put it on tho thing looks sweet!
