Default 97 Honda Sccord Struts and Shocks question

I have over 160K miles on the original engine, manual tranny. I don't feel like I have a rough ride, but I was curious, about replacingg struts and shocks. IS this one of those things that you replace at a certain mileage no matter what, or one of those things y ou wait until they show signs of needing to be replaced? thanks!

It's up to you. Try doing a test. push down on the car as hard as you can, (any good solid surface) and see how many times it moves up and down. A good one should have like 1 or something. Bad one goes up and down 2x?? Google this.

Shocks do last long on the Accord from what I heard. I think you should be fine. Though they say, shocks have to be replaced every 50-60,000 miles, but of course no one does that. In short, wait until it needs replacing.
