Shocks question . .
Hey guys, before you start flaming, please take a minute to read the post. Thank you.
Alright, my car is currently lowered about 2inches using GroundControl coilovers and I am still using the stock shocks. Here is the problem, my front shocks just gave out and were leaking like **** today. Well, here are my options: a) Save for a month or TWO and invest in TEIN SuperStreet (b) Save for a week or two, and get me some standard aftermarket shocks(tokico, koni, kyb) . .
HERE IS THE SECOND PART OF MY QUESTION . . How long could i roll around with bad shocks in the front. Is there a chance of me damaging anything ? ?
Any POSITIVE feedback would be much appreciated !

Not ALL THE TIME, but yes there are times when I push it. By that I mean, maybe once in a while me and a few friends will just speed on the highway, changing langes, and maybe speeding on the backroads a little. Plus, I am thinking about autoX'n once or twice this summer. All in all, i dont need to have the suspension of a MONSTER car, but i want to have something that i know i can depend on JUST IN CASE i need to.

Alright lets see here, I barely ever drive it like I stole MY OWN car lol, my city does have some bad roads, and yes i probably will go auto-x this season.

Re: Shocks question . . (moondoggy)
what would you reccomend. There is the SS, TypeFlex, RA, or BASIC ? ?
Now i know there is a HUGE price difference between all of these, but i basically want to know which one would be TRULY worth the price . . ?
BTW, I've HEARD The TYPEFLEX is the BEST . .?
(THIS IS A COPY --> PASTE FROM A DIFF. POST, MAYBE I'LL GET DIFF. ANSWERS HERE)

I'd recommend looking into a set of kyb agx or koni yellows. You don't know that you need tein's and won't know until you get some auto-x experience under your belt.

Thats actually a pretty good point. Now here is the dilemma, i would only have to spend about $200-$300 extra if i went with Tein. On the other hand, if i do go with kyb or koni and findout that i need something better, i am gona lose MORE than that . . QUITE A DILEMMA . . Would someone like to help me OUT ?

The best shock for you would be the Neuspeed Koni Sports. They have a shorter stroke then off the shelf Konis Sports but still have the same valveing and adjustments. You will also need to get Koni specific sleeves from ground control but they aren’t that much money (because you use all of the stuff from your old ground controls).
