Default wiring problem starts up runs fine then sometimes wont start after shutting off

I start my car and everything seems fine. but then after i start it up and turn it off a couple times it wont start back up. but if i wait a while it seems to fire right back up. i hid some wires when putting in my new engine but all i did different was hide them and taped them up. the engine is a d16a6 and i put a vtec head on it. i had a inline fuse hooked up to my main power wire and it was blowing the fuse out. the battery is relocated to the back but was there when i had the other motor in. i might have a short somewhere or a wire touching somewhere that i cant see. any ideas what it could be or where to start. This is a friends of mines car and we've been trying to figure this out for hours, so any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.

Test the ignition switch. When they fail, they cause all sorts of strange problems like that.

I think it is the relay behind the coin tray drivers side. Take the coin tray out and wiggle it. Should start. I forget what that is called, but My Brother In Law had the same problem. He would wiggle that and the car would start and run again.

Almost positive that is your problem

Lol. That's called the main relay. When these go out, your car won't start after its warmed up.
