How long can a tranny sit?

How long can a tranny sit?

So I found a transmission I'm interested in, but it's been sitting for 2 years. Would there be anything to worry about with that? Or could I just drain and refill and be good to go?

they can sit forever, just make sure you swap the fluid

sounds good. i figured since they are sealed transmissions it shouldn't be too bad. sweet deal.
