Default Clutch misery

The good.
I finally got my new clutch installed. It is a clutchnet stage 1 with an 8.5# clutchnet flywheel. I did not get my motor mount inserts installed since I was exhausted. The clutch felt super smooth. I thought my clutch master was dead because I could not see or hear it working. I did not know it worked until I put the car in gear and tried moving.

Now the bad.
1. The shift linkage pin would not come out. I had to remove the linkage from under the shifter.
2. I ended up owing bolts to my car afterwards. I don't know where a huge motor mount size bolt could have walked away to.
3. The f$king castlenuts were a pain. I bought a special tool to remove them. But I did not thread a bolt onto the end of them before using the tool. This mushroomed the bolts.
4. I had taken off two sick days from work already, and needed to have the car ready by today for vacation. I decided last night to let my mechanic replace the ball joints. I sanded down the tips of the bolts so that the castle nuts would go on. I put the car down. I needed to get the car out of the driveway so I could call a tow truck, so I tried driving it(50 ft). It did not make it. Driver side lower control arm fell out. To make a long story short. My mechanic is replacing the two ball joints and the driver side axle which was destroyed in the exchange. My fender looks like it dated a trash compacter, so that will have to be repaired sometime also.

So I think I have done the most expensive clutch change in history. Sometimes I miss rear wheel drive.

I need some
