What's wrong with people these days?
So today, I came across a few punk kids in a civic -- I don't know if they're high school kids or college kids, but it was around 12pm today. I was on my merry way on the freeway just driving my usual 65mph - 70mph (gas prices blow) when these kids in a civic drive up next to me and start revving. I tried to ignore them and changed lanes beforehand with hopes that they wouldn't bother me. I guess ignoring them pissed them off
They then proceeded to slow down, get behind me, and changed lanes speeding up past me while giving me the finger which they would have plucked the yew with if it were back in the day (just thought I'd throw in something related to the origin of the finger in there).
After they sped up further, I changed lanes and slowed down to possibly avoid anymore confrontations. They seemed far enough ahead to not give me anymore trouble, but boy was I wrong. They then started to throw garbage out onto the freeway. Wow, what a bunch of douche bags...I tried to get plate number earlier, but the plates were so dirty that I couldn't make out anything.
Sorry about the rant, just pissed off.
Oh and since I just bought a digital camera just last week (my first digital camera EVER) here is my R just to make this even more R related. Yes I know, very dirty car and I'm very bad at taking pictures.

Imo, our generation as an entirety has probably received some of the worst parenting (or lack thereof) to date. And somehow all these idiots end up driving Hondas.
Very [expletive] mature on their part
And maybe they just did all of that to get attention since you didn't acknowledge them when they were revving.

Lack thereof for sure, we just had a very long discussion at work about this. And just think about what it will be like when our kids are in high school.
Lately I have been feeling this same frustration, tired of getting revved at, and stared down all the time, followed ETC. But I love my car and the therapy it gets me, i guess its just part of the game.
I guess that everyone wants to beat the top model to prove a point.

I don't mine the revving at all for some cases. I would occasionally get a rev then a thumbs up. That was absolutely cool with me, I didn't mind that at all. I would give them a thumbs up back or something. But these guys had completely no respect for me or my safety.

You ain't lyin. I see the punk *** kids with fart cans on their EGs and EFs.....driving like they own the road. Driving like they're the "DK" from Tokyo Drift. And the shrill sound of that fart can as they're redlining their 100-120 maybe 130hp motor....is enough to drive any man woman or child insane.

Sorry, but they're not becoming the car of choice for lowlive's and bottom feeders. They've been the car of choice for sub-humans for over a decade now.
As much as the new SI has grown on me, I am nothing but giddy when a 19 year old r3TArd tHu6 in a new SI doesn't rev on me, because to the untrained eye I'm driving a regular Mazda3. And the ones that do know, aren't so quick to rev on me, because they've probably already had an MS3 pull 25 carlengths on them.

If I see a nice car (Honda or not) I usually give a thumbs up and continuing driving my own pace.
But I know where you're coming from there are so many irresponsible, inconsiderate people out there. Especially when driving a high profile car like an Integra Type R, I guess they think we should race them bc they want to see it go or something I have no idea.
On that note I am 22 and have had my R since it was new in 01. On they occasion Ill mess with someone, usually a corvette just to see them punch it but I never throw trash or flip them off.
Being ornery is one thing but disrespectful is another
to those guys in that civic

you bought your R when you were 15?
seriously though, thank god it isn't as bad as that over here. Honda's aren't as cool because we get so many cheap import older Impreza's and Evo's and it's much easier to make power with those.
but all the douchebag Civic, lesser spec DC2 and RSX owners with their beat up cars and ricer exhausts would drive me away from Honda/Acura so I wasn't associated with their 5up3r 7hu9 bad boy image. grow up

I had some help. Worked hard for a few summers. Enjoy it every sunny day. Totally worth some hard work in school and the job.
That could be why I have such a high respect for cars i know it takes hard work to have one and the one I want. That could be the problem with people who dont respect the car they dont know how hard we work to keep them loking good and safe.
On that note, I went to a movie about amonth ago in the R ( thats right I parked at a movie theater) and when I came out there were 4 people walking towards there civic Si (07 4 door) when they stopped and stared at my car to which one of the girls said something about it and her guy said "What?, thats a Type R you respect that car" as they began to walk away... I fweeped the alarm as I got closer and they respectfully said " You have a very nice car"..... so not all civic owners are ricers and I dont think that is what the OP meant but I think the long term problem is a lack of respect
