here we go to make a long story short today my car was bogging bag till it got to 3k than everything was ok..well a 30+ year mechanic came over and advanced the timing useing the dizzy..I got it maybe 400 feet and a loud bang happened..Now the tack is going crazy and there is a loud noise comming from the bottom of the head or top block????? Any clues on what this could be???he should be back soon to do a compression test.. Its a h23a1 auto all stock..any input will help

sounds like a good reason to get a mechanic to work on it asap.

 

pull the spark plugs...see if an are torn up then do a compression check
