so i've done quite a lot of searching, and through mannyyyyy different search engines and came up with 2 topics lol... One by Bauley Civic and one by Mista Bone... Well Bone's been helpin me like crazy over on d-series, but hes been busy past couple days an i kno some guys here kno a thing or two about trannys... My question is - Inside the transmission on the shift rod theres an "interlock" peice that slides left and right with 2 bent corners that selects which shift fork to move up/down.. Well on the clutch side of the tranny, theres an 8mm hex head bolt "interlock guide bolt" and for some reason when i tighten mine all the way down i cant bench shift, but if i loosen it a turn or two i can shift fine... I tightened it hand tight and about 1/2 of another turn with loctite on there, than did a lil RTV job on it as well to keep it from leaking or anything...

Question 1. I kno its not that safe cuz its not tightened like ***** tight, but should it hold up since its only retaining a lil bracket that slides left and right..??

Question 2. Can I take that interlock peice out and dremel it or somehow fix it so the head of the interlock guide bolt doesnt hold it from switching gears..??

and Question 3. If I did in fact have to replace the interlock peice itself, would there be a chance that i'd have to replace anything else as well..??
