Default gas hand

i got a 03 civic and i can be sitting on level ground and the gas hang will read a quarter tank and then if i turn the car off and start it back up the gas hand will be on i just need to know if there is anything i can do about it cause i have no clue how much gas i have at any point and time unless its completly full.

Sounds like the motor is shot on the cluster. You might want to take it in for repair.

Yea i have the same problem but i have in the past clocked how many miles i get out of a tank and i dont rely on my gas gauge. i just know when i need to get gas bc when i fill up i reset my odometer and rely on that.

how much is it gonna cost if i need a new guage cause im about tired of putting money into this stupid car.

OEM clusters are inexpensive and easy to install. Search for a used one on ebay...

I have the same problem. My needle sits on E then moves up to 1/4 tank

mine does that to the only way i know how much gas is in my car is when i first pump it. but i have a question some one told me my car was carburated and i told them they were crazy its not carburated is it?

see i kwne i didnt but he swore up and down that cause of the way the intake is on the car that it was carburatedand i told him that it wasnt
