Get a multimeter and measure the voltage at your battery. The exact specs are in the manual, but i believe they are 12 volts with the car off, 11 volts with car on and idle, and 14 volts with car on and revving to 2k. Im probably wrong though, its been about a year and half since mine stopped working.
Oh and if the battery is really low when you do the off test, or if you notice it draining by more than .01 volts within 1 or 2 minutes, your battery is dying, or youve got a drain somewhere.
