Default Brakes rubbing

I just installed EBC slotted and dimpled rotors with Hawk Pads and recently they started to rub when I'm not pressing the brake. They aren't really slowing me down but its making and annoying noise. I'm pretty sure its not caliper failure. Someone told me that I should change the brake lines when you change rotors. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you grease the caliper pins?

are you sure its not the rotor rubbing against the dust sheild? i had that problem last time i chenged my braking system and it turned out that my dust sheild was just barely rubbing on one of the rotors. it was even intermittant so it wasnt the first thing that came to my mind. but once i pulled the wheel off and spun it, it was obvious.

I think he means the pads are contacting the rotor too much when the pedal isn't applied.

Well yeah that's what he means, but I bet that's not what's happening.

Shield is a good idea to check.

Which Hawk pads do you have? Did you bed them in properly? Any other symptoms?

Do you have anti-squeal goo or shims behind your pads?

If your brakes are dragging while you drive, the hub/wheel will get hot and covered in brake dust quickly, and they'll smoke after a while too. If you just hear noise, it's something else.
