Default idle still bouncing........?

so I am up against a wall with this bouncing idle. I've tried every thing I can think of. I have decked the manifold. blocked off the fitv, and iac, but it is the same if they aren't. here is the vid....

F22B1- did you check to see if it might be the FIA, aka Fuel injection Air Control System? It is a component that was on the 96-97 B1 VTEC's IIRC. It introduces a small amount of air directly to the injectors under certain conditions. If you do have this system and you have removed it, forgotten to replace the vacuum line, or it's not working properly, it too could cause this type of problem.

There should be a hose fitting on the left top of your intake manifold just above the #4 injector. Take a look and check to make sure the vacuum hose isn't leaking there.

Just another avenue to look into if you have already done the usual IAC FIT valve stuff.

If you're planning on modding it....

Chip the ecu, disable EGR and set a static idle.

well, the motor is a f22b2, and I swapped on a a f23a4 manifold. so yes it does have that port on the manifold. I just blocked it off with a vacuum cap. Ill try running a hose to it never thought of it though.

edit also muffinman what do you mean by modding it? like boost?

Nope, if you plan on like I/H/E even. You can benefit from a chipped ECU.

My car is stock H22 with a chipped P28. You can set a static idle and disable EGR/IAVC/etc just have to let it warm up in the mornings.

Why and F23A4 ULEV intake manifold?

Keep that port capped if you already have it closed off that 's good. I think I found out where your leak may be..... it's the FIA intake meats non FIA head. But I'm not 100% that your IM even has the FIA ports. Are you sure your IM is an F23A4 and it isn't a 96-97 Ex F22B1.... Just want to make sure. because that year B1 uses the FIA I know that for sure.

Here are some pics of my FIA intake manifold;
If your using a B2 gasket it leaves the FIA ports into the injectors wide open like this picture.

If your using an F23 gasket it will open the ports but there is nothing on the B2 head to block the opening. The head is open to the outside air therefore the ports are open.

The only way to block the 4 FIA ports is to remove the intake manifold and fill the ports with silicon gasket maker or JB weld. Just make sure that you don't use to much and go into the injector port. Or you can remove the injectors and fill them from that direction. Save you from having to remove the manifold.

Again I'm not 100% that your intake manifold even uses the FIA.

I had the same problem with my 1993 Honda Accord and it turned out to be the Throttle body position sensor (TPS) check it out also could be the Iddle control valve, best thing to do is go to an auto zone and run the computer on it maybe it could be a vaccum leak aswell anyhow Good luck bud

so is this what your talking about ghost? I don't know why every one keeps thinking that I got a b1. I have the f22b2 non vtec. sorry I thought it was clear enough in the vid, but it is really dark. I am going to try this later today, hell even through the honda data gasket back on. My god I hope this works. It makes perfect sense so cross your fingers.

also mad civ I swapped over the original tb, including tps, map, and fitv. All of this worked fine. With the sucking sound coming at the head/ manifold base. it really makes me think of the fia, which no one who had done the swap before had mentioned.

The F & K24's are the only engines that utilize the FIA as far as I know. Don't forget that you also have to plug the 4 small ports going into the fuel injectors as well. A little spot of silicone should work. Along with capping that vacuum port in the pic you posted and you should be good to go!. Good luck, hope this helps.
