Default Civic Si yearly production?

I was just wondering how many Civic Si's Honda was producing for the U.S. yearly since it came out (the 06+ that is). I was wondering that because when I bought mine it was the only honda dealership in Milwaukee that I found that had the black coupe. And for the longest time I didn't see any black coupes like mine until about a month ago. I am seeing a ton more coupes/sedans than before. I was wondering did they up the production for 2008 or what?

its cuz all those ppl driving fords are realizing the fact that hondas run circles around their p.o.s in terms of price and performance.

same thing over here in LA way more Si coupes and sedans roaming around looks like production has increased in 2008. Ah well... 2 popped up in the employee parking lot in the last 2 months. I had the only one for a while..

15,000 Coupes per year... I don't know what numbers on sedans... I would assume similar.

It's less than they make C6 Corvettes per year...

But to be fair...the C6 would be like the Civic EX. Nice car in it's own right, but it's not the top of the line. Of course there are gonna be more C6s than SIs.

The sad thing is because they make so many, the value drops faster than you could hope to pay it off... unless you pay in full with cash up front.

C6 has an annual volume of about 35,000. Like 2008fijibluesi states the base version is like an EX or LX Civic.

The leather version, Z06 and ZR-1 volumes are much smaller than the Si, which is what you should compare numbers to.

You can't compare numbers of a Z06 or a ZR-1 because the only reason there aren't more of those made is because they cost $70,000 and $100k+ ... there isnt a big enough market for that.

Yes that is disappointing. But Hondas are so much more dependable, so you'll be able to keep it longer than other cars. Unless you're one of the people that trade in a car as soon as you pay it off..Is it possible that they are just being spread out to other cities that weren't targeted as much when they first came out?

I kinda see your point, but how many $70,000 BMWs sell every year? Definitely not a limited amount. They are limited, just to be limited. It isn't the market, trust me. If Chevrolet made 20,000 Z0-6s or ZR-1s, it would sell every one of them.

I think it also depends on where you are, to an extent...in my area (NE NC/SE VA), I hardly ever see '06-'08 Si's driving around...I see a lot of regular civics of those years, though
