hey guys i got a 1999 honda civic and i want to just do the basics nothin crazy.. i already have a aem short ram intake.. i was thinking about doen a header and exhaust system. if i do this should i elimate the cat? and what brands are realli good?

 

If you want to get a header and exhaust, get a generic eBay 4-2-1 (they're a gamble, but an expensive header isn't worth it for your application), get 2.25" crush bent piping, and get a decent muffler.

Keep your cat if you ever want to pass emissions. Removing it will produce negligible gains, it will smell more, and it will be louder.

 

you are not going to get any sort of power with those mods(nothing noticable that is) dont waste your money on that stuff in my oppnion, it will just be a headache(louder) and a waste of money. what are you looking to do?

 

Get an exhaust, preferably APEX-i / Noir or RSR*Mag. Those are the quiet ones and look good.
