Ok i know this is always asked. just making sure i have everything and the swap will go smooth. i got the LS motor, tranny, ecu, axles, shift linkage and gonna use the harness that is already in the hatch.

ok one more question about the LS swap that i might have over read in DASFINC write up. I plan on keeping ac. will everything plug right up or will I need something else? I have the compressor that came with the LS and I still have the compressor that is comin gof my stock motor

No you need to buy a 92-95 DEl Sol ac bracket part number 38930-P54-000 That will allow you to keep the Factory Civic compressor Price for the bracket should be about 130.00

Yes it must be the B16 del sol civic it was the only one that came with a dohc motor with the same AC compressor that is in every other 92-95 civic I have pictures of it i just dont know how to post them on here because i just finished putting a LS motor in my 94eg coupe.

 

and i have been reading that a CRV bracket would work also and is cheaper. is this true?

I remeber arguing with you a month ago about you being wrong about something else a while back

Tell me, Why wouldn't the B18B1 AC compressor work with an EG LS swap?

EVERY mount you use for the swap is off the integra anyways, including the AC bracket, My car just doesn't have the compressor mounted to it.

Don't take this as an attack at you, I'm personally curious as the EG and DC platforms are the same.

 

Nah dont worry man Im a moody person lmao. The ac line on the Integra AC compressor is turned in a different angle so you will have to unbolt the Civic Lines and twist one of them after a while the lines is rubber so its gonna break not to mention you have to refill you A.C. again anyway. Why go through the hassle Even if you get a custom line made the cost is high. The best solution is keep you Factory civic compressor you dont have to refill and it will bolt right on with no complications its just that the dealear has a Monopoly on that dam bracket **** is really expensive for a piece of metal.

 

the ls compressor will bolt right up due to the fact that it came with the engine..but the d series a/c lines dont match up with the holes on the ls compressor there fore it cannot be used ..unless like previously stated you bend or kink the line ..wich in my opinion is straight stupid ..it wont last very long..stop being cheap and do it the right way..you can use either a crv a/c bracket or dohc del sol a/c bracket..cons is the del sol is more expensive..

My brother has the hasport swap mount it works just fine, 99 bucks plus shipping blah blah. Just make sure you have the bolts on the compressor before it goes on theres no way they will go on when its in the car unless the that ac radiator thing is out. Still takes some fanagaling anyway but it will go in. Might use some locktite too, theres alot of vibration down there.

ok so i ws doing my LS swap tonight and ran into some little problems. do i need to get a B ser throttle cable? cuz it seeam like my stock throttle cable doesnt line up.

No prob. For SO MANY PEOPLE on this site claiming they have all these high dollar swaps, no one seems to post reliable information as far as how to DO the swaps......

 

what you can do is unbolt the throttle cable bracket, the 2 bolts, and move it down so that there is only one bolt holding the bracket. Lets see if i an clarify. The hole on the right of the bracket should be bolted to the hole to the left on the intake manifold thus moving the bracket more to the left. Thats how many people do it rather than buying a different throttle cable.

 

I used my ls ac bracket all I did was used Integra low side hose and bent the eg high side line to clear condenser fan

So, you used your Integra A/C compressor and the low side hose, and modified the Civic high side line and it works fine ???

I'm not disagreeing with your laudatory comment about 94egnut, if the information is useful, but look at the title of this thread. A potentially useful post may go unread for another 11 years because it's hidden in an ancient thread with a title that gives little hint of the existence of a golden nugget. In my opinion, it would be easier to find this nugget had the poster created a new thread with a title fitting to the specific topic.

 

I agree with you muellersfan to a point here. I believe that information pertaining to an Integra LS A/C compressor working on an LS swap into an EG Civic IS relevant here in a thread titled "LS Swap in my EG Hatch". Now true, one could start a new thread titled "Integra A/C compressor in EG Civic", and it would certainly make things easier to find when someone ACTUALLY searches.
