Civic idle rpm at 100-300 range
1995 Civic ex-stock engine still
Hey I was wondering what everyone elses car idles around after being warmed up. My car idles at about 1k rpm for the first few mintues but after it warms up it drops down to 100-300 rpm and this doesn't seem normal at all, I don't know too much about cars right now(which is why I like to read on the honda-tech forums for hours on end) but 100-300rpm just doesn't seem right. This an issue or normal on the stock cars?
Also what rpm does the vtec usually engage with stock?

keep in mind on the factory honda cluster's tach, the tiny mark just above the 0 mark is actually 500 RPM. You're likely idling around 600-750, which is a little low but not abnormal.
