Looking for some decent street tires or drag radials
Lets start this by telling my story...
First off this is not a Honda, in fact an Escort zx2. Im making 375WHP in it. The car is not daily driven, but every other day. I have my honda for the ultimate reliable car
Now, my front 2 tires are bald, I need tires. This time I want to get some tires that are a but sticky, perhaps drag radials? Im trying to put these tires on a set of Rota Grids 16" with a 40mm offset. Now, I dont know how big of a tire I can do, but I have cut the strut perches and done some small wheel spacers. At the current time I have 205/45/16 and they work perfect.
With the power output im doing, id like a little mopre contact witht he road, so I wanan do a bit wider in the front.
I want to do some drag radials but there arent mutch choices for a 16" rim
Here is what im contiplating, like I said 205/45/16 is there now, id like to do a 215/45/16 or even a 215/50/16 im not too knowlaged on tires and there size, so this is where im needing help...
Id love to get some drag raidsl for the 16" rims, anyone can help me find some for 16" wheels? Im not sure If I can do anything bigger than a 225/45/16

Basically, I want a drag radial. But I cannot find a right size for my 16" rims, unless mabey I can do extended wheel studs?
OR
Mabey someone can reccomend me a good street tire?

Well, I do have a set of 15' rota slipstreams I may put on with BFG drag rad on the front and cheapies on the rear.....
Now how can one calculate how big of a tire he can put on the car/rim?
I know a 215 wide fits fine....

8. This is honda-tech.com, a place for sharing information about Honda and Acura cars. This isn't the place for information about wheels and tires for your grandmother's Buick or your son's Mustang; there are other websites that specialize in those cars, where people will have more specific expertise with those cars than here.</TD></TR></TABLE>
